Trailer Analysis for Own Film Trailer The trailer of the film describes a new thriller movie about a girl being stalked by a guy - this is shown by his shadow in one of the first scenes. At the start of the trailer all seems well until the texts the girl starts to get become creepy and strange, at first it was a normal, flirty relationship until the guy becomes obsessive and she cuts it off.  The music in the background of the trailer is intense, which makes the audience want to watch the film as they are unsure of what is going to happen. The music mirrors the fast pace scenes in the trailer as well as an abrupt end to the final scene.  The scenes are both long shot and close up to show variety of the different filming effects which shows how she is feelings - makes the audience empathise with the character. Faye - Advertising questions

Write down five slogans for products recently advertised -  KitKat - 'have a break, have a KitKat' Subway - 'eat fresh' Maybelline - 'maybe she's born with it, maybe it's maybelline' Max Factor - 'the make-up of makeup artists' Audi - 'vorsprung durch Technik' (advancement through technology) Which advertisers have used shock tactics lately and why are they shocking? -  Cadbury's - the mum's birthday. It is shocking because it makes the audience become emotionally involved therefore we feel sympathetic because the little girl cannot pay for a present for her mum - it pulls on the audiences heart strings. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l0eEqeizNCA Find an advert whereby you can justify Maslow's hierarchy of needs in play -  Coco Mademoiselle by Chanel - this advert uses Maslow's hierarchy of needs because it implies that if you use this perfume you will gain male attention and men will be dropping at your feet if...

David - Analysing a Computer Game Cover

To analyse a computer game cover - talk about the genre, audience and issue of representation. The gaming cover for Battlefield 3 allows those who are going to buy the game what is going to be included and what it is about - this is to persuade people to buy it. The gaming cover uses several colours such as  blacks, greys and oranges. The black and white colours makes the gam seem serious as well as showing that it is set at night - the small pop of orange could present fire or inner anger.  The main character in the image is a male who is holding a large machine gun which connotes he is evil and the game is going to be very violent (it is likely to be ages at 18 because of the violence and strong language used). The strong, muscular man is walking towards the camera and he is making direct mode of address which makes him seem serious and some what scary; he seems in power because of the cargo gear he is wearing which also makes him seem masculine and in...

David - Newspaper Content (part 2)

Task -  Research and find out which  organisation  is responsible for  regulation  of the content of British newspapers , and how you make a complaint about  accuracy or offensive  content in a newspaper. The Press Complaints Commission (PCC) was a voluntary regulatory body for British printed newspapers and magazines, consisting of representatives of the major publishers. The PCC closed on Monday 8 September 2014, and was replaced by the Independent Press Standards Organisation (IPSO), chaired by  Sir Alan Moses .  By 2016 the UK had two new press regulatory bodies, the Independent Press Standards Organisation  (IPSO), which regulates most national newspapers and many other media outlets, and IMPRESS , which regulates a much smaller number of outlets but is the only press regulator recognised by the PRP (since October 2016). David - Film Marketing Analysis (Fast and Furious 8 trailer)

Fast and furious 8 trailer The trailer for fast and furious 8 shows the pure thrill and action that will come from their 8 th movie in the franchise. It makes sure to include several main characters who are celebrities such as Dwayne the Rock Johnson, who has been in the films since Fast 5, Jason Statham, who was the villain in the previous film however in this one he joins the team and other key stars such as Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Michelle Gibson and more.  The trailer itself is very generic for a trailer, starting with a city scape and jumping straight into all the action. It shows the main parts of the film without giving away too much which overall persuades people to watch the film. Since it is in a franchise people may presume you need to watch the other films to understand the new one however it’s not the case as there is enough background in the film/trailer for people to get the gist of what is going on. At the start of the trailer there is a wide shot that slo...
